Delete Account – VenAlaigal

VenAlaigal respects your right to control your personal data. Registered members of cooperative societies (Fishery / Aavin) can request deletion of their VenAlaigal account by following the process below.

1. Who Can Request Account Deletion

  • Registered VenAlaigal app users
  • Verified society members using mobile number–based login

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

🔴 DATA THAT WILL BE DELETED
  • Login credentials (mobile number authentication mapping)
  • App profile data
  • Request history linked to the app account
  • Uploaded documents (if not legally required to retain)
🟡 DATA THAT MAY BE RETAINED
Certain data cannot be immediately deleted due to legal, audit, or cooperative society obligations:
  • Fund contribution records
  • Transaction/payment history
  • Society-mandated nominee records
Such data is archived and restricted and is not used for any other purpose.

3. How to Request Account Deletion

Send an email from your registered mobile number/email to:

4. Processing Time

  • Account deletion requests are processed within 7 working days.
  • You will receive a confirmation once completed.

5. Important Notes

  • Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.
  • Re-registration will require fresh verification from the society.
  • Deletion applies only to the app account, not society membership.
